Navin Shurren (50), from Trenance Park – KZN, was found dead by Reaction Unit SA on Estuary Drive in Riverview – this morning (Tuesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched at 06:22 after receiving reports of a man who had been found dead. When members arrived on the scene, they found the self-employed businessman lying in the bushes near a ravine. He was wearing a cream white jacket and navy blue trousers.
Members examined the body and found him not breathing, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Shurren was last seen on Monday evening (13 April 2026) at around 22:28pm driving out of a car service garage, driving a Chevrolet Utility van with the registration number: CT 96 XT ZN.
His phone had been switched off since the day he went missing, and his vehicle has not been found. Community members spotted his body as he passed by on his way to work and alerted first responders.
